Effective from 1 June 2019
The following payments may apply during your tenancy. Any fees charged will be in accordance with the Tenant Fees Act 2019 and other relevant legislation.
Before the Tenancy Starts
In addition to paying rent, you may be required to make the following permitted payments to McGlashans Property Services:
Holding Deposit
A payment equivalent to one week's rent.
Security Deposit
A deposit equivalent to five weeks' rent where the annual rent is below £50,000, or six weeks' rent where the annual rent is £50,000 or more.
During the Tenancy – Payable to McGlashans Property Services
Variation of Tenancy Agreement
A payment of up to £50 where you request a change to the existing tenancy agreement.
Late Payment of Rent
Interest may be charged on rent paid more than 14 days late, at a rate of 3% above the Bank of England base rate.
Lost Keys or Security Devices
The reasonable cost of replacing a key or security device where it has been lost or damaged.
Early Termination of the Tenancy
Any rent or other reasonable costs associated with ending the tenancy early, where this has been requested by the tenant and is permitted under the tenancy agreement. Any payment will be limited to the landlord's actual loss and the agent's reasonable costs.
During the Tenancy – Payable to the Relevant Provider
You may also be responsible for paying the relevant provider for:
Telephone and broadband services
Installation of satellite or cable television
Satellite or cable television subscriptions
Television licence
Council tax
Gas
Water
Electricity
Other Permitted Payments
Any other payment not listed above will only be charged where it is permitted under the relevant legislation.
Tenant Protection
McGlashans Property Services is a member of Client Money Protect (CMP), a Client Money Protection Scheme, and the Property Redress Scheme (PRS).
